Hi, My name is Kyle! I'm a software developer based in New York City. I'm currently student in the Masters Program in Computer Science at the University of Chicago set to graduate in December 2024.

My interest in programming and technology started when I got my first laptop, an Apple iBook G4. While my new laptop was meant to be a productivity machine for school, it became a portal into a new world-- mostly the World of Wacraft (WoW). Through WoW I learned about modding, Lua, scripting, macros, software plugins, and how to troll on read through internet forums for help. From there I continued my informal education in programming and technology, namely through web development, troubleshooting internet/printer issues at home or at school, or fixing MacOS after I tried some "hack" I saw a youtube tutorial for.

While I've since stopped playing WoW, my love of scripting, modding, and configuring lives on through in interest in configuring developer tooling, particularly Neovim. Beyond developer tooling, my interests in programming also include web application development, functional programming, rust, and the traveling salesman problem.

Outside of software I enjoy long distance running, photography, cooking, and studying Mathematics with applications in optimization.
